Berkshire Baseball

This weekend I visited the Berkshire baseball museum located at the Lee Premium Outlets in Lee, Massachusetts. The museum  covers the baseball history in Berkshire county which dates back to the late 1700s. Many baseball legends have played in the Berkshires from Lou Gehrig in his youth to Babe Ruth and Satchel Paige in their later years. The hub of history is at Wahconah Park in Pittsfield. The Mets even have ties to the Berkshires, their single A affiliate the Pittsfield Mets played at the legendary Wahconah park from 1989-2001. Since then other  minor league and independent league teams have played there. The Berkshire baseball museum was a great experience and if you’re in the area you should definitely visit.
