The Jets have hired Aaron Glenn as their new head coach and also hired Darren Mougey as their new general manager. Glenn is a former star Jet during the late 1990s. The Jets and Glenn also have ties to when Glenn was a scout for them in the early 2010s. Glenn has had coaching experiences on the defensive side both with the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions. This is a good hire. Glenn will bring focus and toughness to the Jets which was missing under prior coaches. Glenn however has to hire good offensive coaches which is another thing that the Jets have lacked. Mougey is a young general manager which didn’t work out for the Jets the last time. Mougey has only worked for the Denver Broncos and with them he did see a Super Bowl win which is impressive. It is hard to tell how much input Mougey had had with the Broncos so he’s a blank slate. The Jets do have talent but Glenn and Mougey have to both get more talent and stem the constant chaos with the Jets.
