On last night’s Smackdown we saw the return of the wiseman Paul Heyman. He returned to WWE after many months off of TV. He came back to support his longtime partner Roman Reigns, one of WWE’s main attractions. His support was by giving Roman a fifth partner in the upcoming WarGames match between the original Bloodline and the new Bloodline. The fifth man is a guy who also has history with Heyman. That guy is CM Punk and the two were partners in the early 2010s. This was a great decision. First, it reunites the fan favorite partnership in Roman and Heyman as part of the original Bloodline. Second, it adds more drama to WarGames. Roman and Punk have history by Punk being the guy who initially was alinged with Roman for a short time when Roman made his debut in 2012. This one decision to have Heyman return has made WarGames an event that will have multiple plot points — Roman and Heyman and Roman and Punk.
