NY Jets Draft Options

The NFL Draft begins this Thursday. The Jets with the 10th pick have many good options. In the first round they need to take an offensive lineman. They can trade up, stay at 10, or trade down. The only player I’d trade up for is Joe Alt from Notre Dame. He’s slated to go at picks 6-8. He’s the top linesmen. I’d try to trade for pick 7 if he’s available. Such a deal would most likely cost the Jets the 10th pick, a second rounder and a future second rounder. So it’s most likely the Jets with stay the 10th pick. The best options then would be Olu Fashanu of Penn State and Tallse Fuaga of Oregon State. Both are good but need development. If a team wants to trade with the Jets to move up in the draft then the Jets would most likely get their first round pick and two second rounders. I prefer this option. The Jets still get a decent linesmen and in the second round either a receiver or safety. And the Jets still need a back-up quarterback.
