After the issues last year with the Jets QB backups, this off season has to be focused on getting one or two solid backups. In free agency there are options such as, Jacoby Brissett, Tyrod Taylor and Gardner Minshew. And some even want Sam Darnold back again. I favor Jacoby because of his experience and durabillity. For all of his career he’s never been a starter, but he’s shown he can play well when a team’s starter does go down. Gardner was a starter in his rookie year, but after that he’s rarely played in games as a backup. Jacoby doesn’t have the injury history of Tyrod which is a benefit because if both your starting and backup QB get hurt a team has to rely on a QB who has rarely played. If the Jets want a QB behind Jacoby they can look at the draft. In the 3rd and 4th rounds their are QBs like Sam Hartman and Michael Pratt. I would stay away from drafting a QB because the Jets do not have all of their picks this year.
