Mets Opening Series

The Mets have finished off their first series against the Pirates with a series victory. Opening Day was a solid victory, and Saturday’s win was a nailbiter. It was a 4-2 extra-inning walk-off win; Luis Robert Jr supplied the walk-off with a three-run homer. The pitching was overall solid as David Peterson allowed no runs over six innings, and Nolan McLean followed that up by allowing two runs over five innings. Today’s loss, yet frustrating, was just an instance of what baseball is, a crapshoot, as many plays didn’t go the Mets’ way. An opening series win is important, and hopefully, there are more to come.
