The Jets remain winless through seven weeks, but there could be a sliver of optimism. To start with the optimistic side, the defense over the past two games has looked great, allowing less than 20 points in both games. Hopefully, the defense can come back to its ability after its disastrous five-game start. A quarterback switch from Justin Fields to Tyrod Taylor in today’s game also adds another reason for optimism. Taylor, in the second half, provided ways for the offense to at least move down the field. The passing game looked more competent with Taylor under the helm compared to Fields. If the Jets want to win at least one game this season, then Taylor must become the starting quarterback.
