Pete Alonso’s three run walk off home run has aided the Mets in the ending of their eight game losing streak. The walk off home run also keeps the Mets playoff chances alive, at least for another day. The Mets control their own destiny as they are still the holders of the third wild card spot. Their lead over that spot has severely shrunken due to the eight game losing streak. The last 12  games of the season will most likely be nailbiters, as the game today was. Hopefully, these prospective nailbiters go in the Mets fortune.
