The Mets are winners of seven straight games and that win streak has allowed them to retake first place in the NL East. The pitching has been dominant during the streak in the seven games so far by not allowing more than five runs. The starters haven’t been going long in games, but the bullpen has shut the door in the games that they were needed. The offense has done what’s needed to win games by showing up in clutch scenarios. Bottom of the lineup hitters such as Francisco Alvaresz and Ronny Mauricio especially have propelled the Mets. I hope the bottom of the lineup can continue to soar in the upcoming week.
