The Mets have lost their first series of the second half versus the Cincinnati Reds. The offense underperformed greatly and lacked the clutchness to get the timely hit. Francisco Lindor especially couldn’t get a timely hit in both of the losses in the three-game series. The bullpen was also to blame for blowing two-run leads in the losses when the starter left the game. The Mets are getting lucky that their hopes of winning the division are still alive, thanks to the Phillies’ underperformance. I hope the Mets take advantage of their luck and grab the division lead in the upcoming week.
