The Mets have finished off a successful first half of the season with an overall record of 55-42. They won one of their two series’ this week by winning two out of three in their weekend series against the Royals. The pitching might’ve regained its early season form by not allowing more than three runs in any game. Sean Manaea made his season debut after being out the first half and looked as dominant as ever. He totaled seven strikeouts in a short three innings of work. The Manaea return almost acts as a trade deadline acquisition due to the starpower that he’s shown. However, I hope the Mets make actual trade deadline moves as we near the final few weeks before the deadline.
