The Mets appear to be back in the groove as they won both of their three game series’ this week. The offense had a complete rebound from a disastrous series against the Pirates. The offense was forced to carry the team, especially in the Yankees series due to injuries ravaging the Mets pitching starters. The offense began its resurgence in the second game of the Brewers series after Mets manager Carlos Mendoza made a bold lineup decision. Mendoza dropped longtime leadoff hitter Francisco Lindor to the two spot. I applaud Mendoza for his choice as it greatly sparked a teetering offense. The freshly rejuvenated offense now must carry on in the final six games before the much needed All Star break.
