First place is no longer for the Mets after a disastrous week against two division rivals. They were swept by the Braves and lost two games to one versus the Phillies. The pitching has continued to regress, and now injuries are damaging both the starters and the bullpen. The offense has, for the most part, stayed on course. For the Mets to regain their momentum, it’s a must for the pitching staff to get back their early-season mojo. As we near a month to the trade deadline, it has become clear that a major focus will be on trading for pitching.
