The Nets were given the 8th pick in the NBA draft in this past Monday’s draft lottery. It was an expected result, but the expectation doesn’t take away the frustration. The frustration comes from the hope that was there for the Nets to shoot up in the draft order and get a top three pick. It would’ve been a good reward after a season that had little to be proud of. There is still a way for the Nets to get in the top three and that way is via trade. A proposed trade has been for the third pick and in the trade the Nets would have to take on extra salaries from the Philadelphia 76ers. I would do the trade in a heartbeat, as acquiring the third pick would give hope to a franchise that is in desperate need of some.
