NJ Devils Season Ends

The New Jersey Devils’ season has come to a disappointing end. The Carolina Hurricanes eliminated them in round one of the playoffs, four games to one. The Devils fought hard in all five games, and all of the games had many close moments. Goaltender Jacob Markstrom played well but was constantly let down by his defense, especially when killing the power play. Another factor in the series loss was the offense of the Devils failing to show up when it was most needed. This series showed the Devils that in the offseason there will be a need to add secondary playmakers on both sides of the puck.
