The Jets have signed free agent quarterback Justin Fields. This is a great signing and has been my plan ever since the news broke that the Jets would need a new quarterback. Fields was great in his short stint last year for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is an amazing running quarterback and that running aspect is needed for the Jets. The Jets run game last season was close to the bottom of the league. The passing game of Fields is decent and can be built on. His potential is what makes this signing great. There is precedent in the NFL for young free agent quarterbacks to have great seasons. Quarterbacks such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield and Seattle Seahawks’ Sam Darnold are what I’m hoping Justin Fields can become for the Jets.
