The NHL trade deadline has passed and the Devils added many defensemen and forwards. The additions are meant to add bodies to an injury depleted roster. The biggest injury is a season ending shoulder injury to Jack Hughes. The Devils will have a decreased scoring punch due to Hughes’s injury. One of the trade deadline additions in forward Cody Glass made up for the scoring in his first game. Glass had a goal and was the set up man on an assist for another goal. The Devils will need more games like that from Glass and the rest of the additions in order to maintain their spot in the playoffs.
