The Brooklyn Nets have looked decent early in the NBA season. In most years I’d take this as good news. The 2024-25 year is different. The Nets have their own draft pick in the 2025 draft and this draft is loaded with top prospects. Prospects such as Duke’s Cooper Flagg and Rutgers”s Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. All three are projected to be the number one guy on whatever team gets them. This means as a Nets fan I am conflicted. I want to see growth from young players on this year’s roster, but I also want to be bad so the Nets can have the highest odds at landing one of the three. My best case scenario is for players like Cam Thomas and Noah Clowney to grow while still winning at least under 25 games..
