The Mets missed opportunities

The Mets finished off a 10 game West coast trip this past Sunday. They went a frustrating 4-6. They lost a series against the Angels and in two games they either choked or couldn’t hit. The Mets did have a good four game stretch after the Angels. However, in an embarrassing series they got swept by the Mariners. The bats were dormant as they only scored one run in those three games. The trip was frustrating because the Mets blew there chance to move into one of the first two wild card spots. Now, the Mets are in a tough situation where they have to chase the Braves for the last spot and are fending off several other teams. Being a team that has to be a chaser for a wild card spots adds importance to every game. There are 40 games left in the season — Let’s Go Mets.
