A disastrous Mets weekend

The Mets looked promising from Monday-Friday by winning all five games. The sweep of the Yankees on Tuesday and Wednesday was big. Good fortune was on the Mets side for the first two games of the series against the Braves. The disastrous part comes from the Mets losing the final two games — including Saturday’s game which I was at. The offense was dormant. The pitching was decent, but with no offense there can be no positives. I believe as many other fans, that the losing is connected with the Kodai Senga’s injury. Senga was making his first appearance of the season on Friday. He looked good until he hurt his calf midway in the game and the vibe of the whole stadium was lost — even though they had a big lead. The Mets cannot have this dry spell continue as they are in a battle for any of the three wild card spots. In short, they need to start winning again as soon as tomorrow.
