Through the first month and a half the Mets have only had one good win streak. For the Mets to be competitive in August and September they need win streaks to happen soon. At least two streaks from May to early July. This is the only way to know if they are going to be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline. The inconsistency has happened in the past, except for 2022. They are competitive in most games but it doesn’t matter if they don’t win games. In the games they have lost their is always a problem. Either the starter is awful and the offense is good. The other games are where the starter is solid but no offense shows up.
