After today’s win against the Reds, the Mets are 3-6. The Mets could’ve had 5 or 6 wins but their offense and bullpen cost them. In almost all their games they have been competitive which is good. Standout players have been Francisco Alvarez,, Brett Baty and Sean Manaea. Disappointing players have been DJ Stewart, Brandon Nimmo, Jeff McNei and Francisco Lindor until today. The next 4 games are against the Atlanta Braves. It’s going to be a big opportunity for the Mets or another disappointment. If the Mets can either split the series or win 3 games I’ll be satisfied. The key in the series will be not falling behind early. This issue has cost the Mets many games against the Braves in the past few years. The offense needs to be consistent game to game.
